I have lots of experience with Unity 3D. Just wanted to say hi here.
If you're thinking of a more traditional RPG, it might be better to use RPG Maker.
I have RPG Maker MV. It can only make games similar to classic PokeMon GameBoy games & early Final Fantasy games. If that's your intention, maybe it'd be better to use that. I have made a project with RPG Maker MV here:
